A Taste of Home Youth Cooking Series

  • Pride Project Incorporated 227 Bonvue Street Pittsburgh, PA, 15214 United States (map)

Kingdom View Ministry is gearing up to introduce a compelling series of interactive youth cooking sessions titled "A Taste of Home." The primary goal is to revitalize the tradition of family dining, particularly within the Black Community, emphasizing its role in mitigating risky behaviors and outcomes. The underlying premise suggests that regular family meals cultivate stronger familial bonds, thereby reducing the likelihood of children developing behavioral issues. This is attributed to improved communication between parents and children, fostering better social skills in children.

Moreover, these classes will integrate a financial literacy curriculum aimed at enhancing participants' budgeting skills and understanding of unit costs. Additionally, there will be a focus on health and wellness, providing valuable insights to empower participants in making informed decisions regarding their dietary habits.
